Each set of questions that you make will upload into ALL EIGHT
of these Game Show Wizard games that your students will love:

Lower 48
Teams battle it out for control of a U.S. map by answering your questions and rolling 10-sided "dice."  Students learn the states while developing team-building camaraderie in attacking and defending strongholds and borders with their advancing armies.  You can have your players defend and attack capitols for the win or completely blanket the map with their territories.  The instructor has total control of the game situation, including game-saving, and like all the other Game Show Wizard games, Lower 48 can be played on computer stations, with a digital projector, or with a large monitor.  Up to five sets of game questions can be used during a single game!

Lower 48--students answer questions to take over territories from other players.
HEIST--students answer the teacher's questions for points in a Jeopardy-type game.

Heist
This "Jeopardy"-type game is probably the most traditional of the Game Show Wizard games.  During the game, a team that has correctly answered a question has the option of taking cash from other teams, giving it to an allied team, adding it to their own score, or going "double-or-nothing."  Imagine your questions and answers used in a purely interactive and music/sound-effects-laden educational gaming environment.  This is the classical questions-in-categories format.  It doesn't get much better when it comes to competitive, interactive learning.  Allows for three to six teams.

TOX
Appropriate for school or business environments, teams or individual players attempt to capture the most tic-tac-toe boards by taking turns placing their mark for each answer correct.  Up to three teams or players can play against each other.  Game length and complexity depends upon how many tic-tac-toe boards you wish to have the teams compete for (3, 5, 7, or  9) at the same time!  Lots of strategy needed here, but very easy to play.   Your questions are randomized.  Up to five sets of questions can be used for a total of 250 possible questions thrown at your players during a single game!  Save and restore games as needed.

TOX--2 or 3 team tic tac toe. A team places a mark on one of the many boards only after corectly answering a question.

Moon Mogul
Have your players compete for mining interests on the moons of Jupiter.  A team wins by gaining resources, by taking over all the properties on the board, or by bankrupting all the other teams.  Easy to learn yet complex enough to continuously engage students, this one is more like a board game than a game show, offering greater variety to your repertoire of competitive learning environments.  Moon Mogul allows up to five sets of Game Show Wizard questions (a possible total of 250 questions!) to be loaded into the same gaming session for the option of long-term play.  Games can also be saved and continued later.

ACADEMIC FOOTBALL--Divide the class to play football using your LCD projector. Students answer your questions to advance the ball and score touchdowns.

Academic Football
Sound like an oxymoron?  Nah, it's just another awesome game that you can use to review your own test material.  Two teams battle it out to gain yardage and score by answering your questions created in the Game Show Wizard.  If the offensive team answers correctly, the play chosen (of 25) has a much greater chance of resulting in gained yardage.  But the defense has a chance with every question to disrupt the play.  All the essentials of football exist--runs, passes, downs, extra points, field goals, touchdowns, safeties, touchbacks, etc.  If you don't know football very well, don't worry.  It runs itself.  Just sit back and watch your students get heavily involved in learning.

Pyramid
Watch your students or colleagues, using players dressed as business professionals, compete to be the first to scale a pyramid of steel bands, challenging each other on the Ladder of Success in a kind of abstract, post-modern setting.  Great for both corporate and classroom settings, it's King of the Hill with a number of twists.  A player advances to the next of the ten layers of the pyramid with each correctly-answered question.  If s/he invades the level of another player, a challenge round follows, resulting in advancements and knockouts.  Three to five teams/players can play using up to five sets of your game questions (up to 250 questions).  This game, like all the others, is included in the downloads and on the CD-Rom disk.

PYRAMID--Students answer teacher-made questions to be the first to ascend the pyramid of success.

Fadeout
Ok, now imagine a game where the contestants can dismember each other for answering correctly (on screen, of course). This game is loaded with fun and teaching potential.  Fadeout was originally given the title "Backstab," perhaps conveying some idea of the strategic (moral?) dilemmas faced by the players.  However, it's harmless fun and the basic concept is simple.  A team or player is represented on the screen as a cartoon character.  When a team answers a question correctly, that team chooses which one of the other teams' characters will lose a body part.  It's competitive Hangman, but in reverse.  The last team left standing (or hobbling) wins.

Choose a category and an opponent use questions to attack. Last team standing (or hobbling) wins in Fadeout.

Cubicles
In this delightfully challenging game, players or teams answer a battery of questions in order to increase the likelihood that they will complete the maze that follows.  For each correctly answered question, seconds are added.  In the maze, players have to use both analytical and dexterity skills to maneuver their mouse from its point of origin on the maze to the cheese.  Students can use either the buttons on the screen (for interactive whiteboard play), the computer's mouse, or the arrow keys on a keyboard.  The first team to conquer the predetermined number of mazes, set by you, wins.  The presenter/teacher maintains complete control over the gaming environment, time details, etc.

CUBICLES--More correctly answered questions gives a team's rat more time in the maze.

Check out how quick and easy it is to make your own questions to use in the games . . .
This picture illustrates the simplicity of creating your own questions (and adding optional images) for the Game Show Wizard.

Once you've installed the software from the disk double-click the Game Show Wizard icon on your desktop.

Next, choose the Game Creator icon
(on the far right).

Once you've opened the Game Creator, either open a saved set of game questions or start making a new set.

Once you've named the categories, start building or editing your questions and attach images to them  (if desired).

Then, just go back to the desktop and click one of the game icons from the top screen to open a game.

Upload up to five sets of game questions that you (or others) have created into the chosen game.

Now, just sit back and watch your students go at it.  Take a coffee break.  Enjoy the show!

When a student answers one of your questions,
here's what it looks like:

When you play the Game Show Wizard in your classroom, you can make questions yourself, or you can use questions that we and a few of our users have created, usable for all the Game Show Wizard games and specifically aligned to
state testing standards common to state criterion reference tests as required by No Child Left Behind.

After your kids have thoroughly experienced the questions relevant to your core area in a competitive and fun learning environment, there's no reason for not seeing serious improvement in the number of your kids passing those high-stakes state exams.  If there's a panacea for teaching kids the tough concepts on the state tests, which don't really vary much from state to state, these questions and the Game Show Wizard are it!

Please note: All of these sets of game questions are already installed on the Game Show Wizard.
We have placed them here in case you ever need to install them again.
